Advancing accountability in sovereign energy value chains via proven operating systems.

Our gas administration platform administers the energy value chain end to end — coordinating producers, pipelines, off-takers and regulators on one accountable system, so every molecule is nominated, delivered, metered and settled against a single source of truth.

The Aurora Energy Platform — advancing technology-driven systems for the energy value chain in markets worldwide.

About Aurora Energy →
What we do

We bring the entire energy value chain onto one system.

Oil and gas move through many hands — produced offshore, carried by pipeline, delivered to power and industry, overseen by the state. The Aurora Energy Platform is the layer that coordinates all of it, turning fragmented, manual processes into a single, real-time, accountable operation.

COORDINATE

Every participant, one workspace

Upstream, midstream, downstream and the regulator work from the same data, the same schedule and the same numbers — every gas day.

ASSURE

Measured, matched, trusted

Custody-transfer metering, real-time monitoring and automated reconciliation give the value chain a single source of truth from wellhead to invoice.

OVERSEE

Transparency the state can enforce

Compliance dashboards and a complete audit trail let regulators measure obligations — including domestic-supply mandates — and act on what they see.

22
Integrated modules

Covering every workflow from availability declaration to settlement.

Security layers

A zero-trust architecture with an audit trail on every action.

5min
Data refresh

Network-wide inventory and monitoring recalculated continuously.

One reconciled record for the whole value chain, shared by all.

What we pioneered

We didn't just adopt the industry's practices. We wrote some of them.

Aurora Energy has introduced operational innovations that have since shaped how national gas markets manage transport and storage. Chief among them: we pioneered linepacking as a deliberate storage and efficiency strategy — using the pipeline network itself as a buffer to absorb demand swings, reduce flaring, and improve delivery reliability across the value chain. It is now a standard reference point in how the gas markets we operate in think about network efficiency.

The gap we close

One party says delivered. The other says received. Aurora makes them one number.

Every dispute in an energy market begins as a difference between two records. The platform matches nomination, meter and confirmation line by line, and closes the gas day on a figure both sides — and the regulator — can act on.

The platform

One system for the whole chain.

Twenty-two modules of the Aurora Energy Platform on a single, secure, cloud-native system — each one built for the realities of national energy administration.

01

Nominations & scheduling

Every participant nominates on one workspace, reconciled into a single published schedule each gas day.

02

Real-time control room

Live flow, pressure and temperature at every node, with alarms and stale-data detection for large-format operations walls.

03

Metering assurance

Custody-transfer readings validated against business rules on the way in — the ground truth behind every invoice.

04

Linepack & forecasting

Real-gas inventory across the network, recalculated continuously, with short-horizon forecasts and anomaly alarms.

05

Finance & settlement

Contract-driven billing, multi-currency and imbalance reconciliation — tied to the same data that drives operations.

06

Regulatory oversight

Compliance dashboards and a full audit trail that let the regulator measure and enforce obligations across the chain.

Built for the institutions that depend on it.

A national asset deserves more than a licence. Aurora engineers the platform so the state stays in control of its own data, its own infrastructure and its own future.

Held by the state

Every record generated by the service belongs to the state, with full export rights at any time in open formats.

Flexible deployment

A dual-mode architecture runs in managed cloud or on-premise — the deployment follows national residency rules.

Regulators may appoint their own auditors with read access to logs and access-control reports.

Who we are

The company behind the market's record.

Energy value chains fail quietly — in the gap between what one party says was delivered and what the other says was received. That gap is where disputes accumulate, where invoices stall, and where investment hesitates. Aurora Energy exists to close it. Founded over a decade ago, and with a team spanning two continents today, we've built the case for what accountable energy infrastructure should look like — one mandate at a time.

We create the administrative infrastructure of energy markets: the nomination and scheduling systems, the metering assurance layers, the reconciliation engines, the settlement platforms and the regulatory oversight tools that turn a chain of contested numbers into one national record.

We are owners and operators, not project vendors. We finance, build and run our platforms for the long term, under mandates that demand neutrality — we take no trading positions, aggregate no prices, and hold no interest in any transaction our systems administer. Neutrality is not a policy we adopted. It is the product.

How we work

Four commitments behind every platform we run.

01

Neutrality first

We administer markets; we never participate in them. Neutrality is the licence to serve every side of a transaction at once.

02

Measurement is truth

Every number traces to a nomination, a meter or an audit. If it cannot be evidenced, it does not enter the record.

03

Settlement finality

Records that bind within defined windows, because a value chain cannot run on open-ended disputes.

04

Owned for the long term

We finance, build and operate what we deploy. No handover to a maintenance contract, no walking away at go-live.

Governance

Steered by people who have run this industry, not just studied it.

Aurora Energy is guided by an advisory board and management team whose backgrounds span energy regulation, national gas infrastructure, and international market operations — the same disciplines the platform itself was built to administer. Our advisory board brings independent, senior oversight to every mandate we take on; our management team brings the operating discipline to run what we build for decades, not quarters. Together, they are the reason governments hand us their energy value chain, and the reason we intend to take the same model to markets worldwide.

Footprint

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Operating in West Africa. Built for global markets.

Aurora Energy runs national-scale gas value chain administration today — delivered in Ghana through our subsidiary GASTEC — and is extending the model to energy markets worldwide, one mandate, one market, one record at a time.

Every deployment carries the same commitments: national data ownership, deployment that follows residency rules, source-code escrow held locally, and independent audit rights for the regulator.

GASTEC is Aurora Energy's wholly owned Ghana subsidiary — not a separate company, but the local operating arm through which Aurora delivers gas administration in-country. Same platform, same standards, same accountability as every market Aurora Energy serves — with local presence and local accountability built in.

State partners

Working alongside the institutions that run Ghana's gas.
